Your Role
Irreversible is looking for a Machine Learning Intern to join our team. In this position, you will assist other scientists and engineers in developing and testing diffusion models and exploring applications of low-power, energy-efficient analog hardware. This role is ideal for a student eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of generative AI and hardware applications.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds in physics, computer science, mathematics, and engineering

• Assist in developing and optimizing application-specific deep neural network architectures and measure their performance

• Contribute to implementing and testing algorithms for generative modelling, with a focus on diffusion models

• Learn and apply standard supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods

• Conduct research on state-of-the-art methods for specific tasks and assist in improving these techniques

• Participate in preparing reports, drafting patents, and authoring publications

• Attend and contribute to team meetings and discussions

What You'll Bring

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, with an interest in generative AI

• Experience using Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Numpy)

• Exposure to diffusion models and interest in implementing them for practical applications

• Interest in low-power, energy-efficient hardware and its applications in machine learning

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic research environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or projects related to generative AI, diffusion models, machine learning, signal processing, or hardware applications

• Experience with implementing diffusion models or other generative AI techniques

• Familiarity with scientific computing and data analysis tools
